K-9 NESDECA Certification
We have been working with detection dogs since 2008 and were one of the first in Canada to begin using them for bed bug detection. Our dogs and their K9 Handlers are all certified with NESDCA (National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association) with a performance rating of 100%! NESDCA will not issue certification until they verify each team can locate live bed bugs and viable eggs. Our K9 teams are tested regularly and must re-certify every year.
Bed Bug Dog Safety
The safety of our dogs is for most to us. The handler will always inspect an area before the dogs can enter. Our dogs cannot enter areas that have recently been treated and our handlers have the right to refuse any inspections if they do not deem the area safe for the dogs. There are other safety protocols our handlers will abide by.
